Richard J. Junge, 72, of LeClaire, formerly of Camanche passed away, Friday, January 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
Graveside Services will be 11:00am Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from Saturday from 9:30am to 10:45am at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. A Rose Croix service will be held at 10:00am. Richard Jay Junge was born on December 4, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Edith (Harrison) Junge. He was a 1967 graduate of Clinton High School. He then attended the Davenport Barber College. He married Kaalen Ria Charlson on May 29, 1971 in Clinton.
Richard was a barber in Camanche and operated Junge's Barber Shop with his brother for 47 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church - Bettendorf, Camanche Masonic Lodge #60, and Clinton Scottish Rite Bodies. He enjoyed attending church, spending time with his family, being around people, photography, fishing and cutting hair.
Richard is survived by his wife: Kaalen of LeClaire; his son: Charles (Joyce) Junge of Bettendorf, Iowa; and his granddaughter: Bethany Junge. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Charles.
