Bill (Willian Oscar) Owen passed away at his home in Carlsbad, California on 21 December, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Michelle Owen and a half sister, Betty J Abshire. Bill will be inurned at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego.
Bill was born in Chicago on 07 August, 1939 and grew up in Clinton, Iowa. He graduated from Clinton High School where he was President of the 1957 Senior Class. He served in the US Air Force and settled in California in the mid 1960's. As an entrepreneur he started a business in 1979 providing services to car dealers. Recently he developed and marketed Nano Liquid Glass Protector, a product designed to protect windshields from damage and sales were increasing.
Bill's heart was big, he loved to talk with everyone. His sharp memory allowed him to recall and tell stories better than anyone. He liked to read, to watch football, to play golf, to enjoy good food, go to movies and travel. As an Iowa Hawkeye football fan he especially enjoyed his trips to see them in person. He was ready for that in 2020 but the pandemic interfered. He also enjoyed the gatherings of the West Coast CHS 1957 Alumni.
He will be missed by all his friends and family members.
