Catherine was born on August 30,1958 to John William and Margorie Olive Schmidt. Catherine graduated from Clinton High School in 1976. She later went on to Clinton Community College and then to the University of Iowa.
Catherine married Donald H. Shaw on November 14, 1983 in Las Vegas.
She worked for the Clinton Chamber of Commerce and Von Maur corporate office before moving to The Tampa
Florida area and working for HSBC Mortgage Services.
Catherine enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Especially her granddaughters Anna and Audrie. Catherine loved to cook and enjoyed taking cooking classes and assisting at the Rolling Pin in Brandon Florida.
Catherine is survived by her Husband Donald, Valrico Florida, daughter Lisa Shaw Clinton, Iowa, and her children Anna and Audrie Bedford, brother Bill (RaeAnn) Schmidt Fayetteville, NC. Step-children Pam (Andy) Jermier and their daughter Hailey ,St. Charles, Iowa and Scott (Chandra ) Shaw, and their children Carter, Cade and Cale DeWitt Iowa - and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and a brother John Jr.
