JOE THIESSEN DIES SUDDENLY AT GOOSE LAKE

Goose Lake, Iowa -- Joe Thiessen was suddenly taken with a stroke about 6 o'clock Friday evening and died before the doctor could arrive. Mr. Thiessen had been up and about apparently recuperating from his recent operation in good shape. But an hour before, he had been out of doors. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Cecilia, and by two sisters and three brothers, Mesdames Richard Farrell and Henry Lampe and Gustav, Adolph and Hannes Thiessen. The deceased was born February 26, 1873 on the old homestead south of Goose Lake.
The funeral was held at the home Monday with burial in the Ingwersen cemetery.
