Funeral services for the late D. S. Stone were held at the home in Clinton Wednesday afternoon, after which the funeral cortege motored to the Gardenplain cemetery where burial was made. Mr. Stone was born and raised on a Gardenplain farm, he married a Gardenplain lady, Miss Fannie Parker and their five children, namely Philo, Maynard, Clayton, Ella and Sarah were born in Gardenplain. The past fifteen years Mr. and Mrs. Stone and daughters have made their home in Clinton where Mr. Stone was a director in the Peoples Trust & Savings bank for a number of years. The immediate loved ones who mourn his death are his wife and two daughters, Ella and Sarah at the Clinton home, Philo of Chicago, Maynard and Clayton of Gardenplain and a brother A. D. Stone of Muscatine, Iowa. He will also be greatly missed by a large circle of friends in business and every day life.
