BAUDER, RUSSELL, BOWER, PUCKET

Mary E. Bauder, who died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. May Russell, was buried in Prairie Union cemetery near Low Moor Sunday. Rev. A. C. Stowe officiated. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. May Russell, 1300 Ringwood Place.
Mary Bauder was born in Glen, N. Y., April 21, 1835. She was married in 1856 and came to Iowa in 1865 living on a farm 14 years then moving to Low Moor, where Mr. Bauder died December 1, 1908. Since that time Mrs. Bauder has lived with her daughters, the last six months with Mrs. Russell. She was the mother of six children, four sons and two daughters, Sidney of Hastings, Neb., John C. and Wesley of Calhoun, Mo., one who died in infancey, Jennie, wife of W. L. Bower of Missouri Valley, Iowa, who was drowned on a pleasure trip to Yellowstone Park July 27, 1921, and R. May, wife of Friend E. Russell, deceased. Mrs. Bauder leaves also a granddaughter, Mary A. Bauder, now Mrs. Vardy Pucket, of Los Angeles, Calif, a daughter of Wesley J. Bauder, who lived with her grandmother until 1910 and who was here to see her and returned September 30, and a sister in Amsterdam, N. Y., who is the sole survivor of a family of nine children.
Mrs. Bauder's final illness dates back to October 30, when she had the third stroke of paralysis. Since her first stroke four years ago, she had not been active and her second March 23 made her an invalid.
