Sharon L. “Tate” Tatro age 83 of Clinton, passed away Thursday Nov. 5th, 2020 at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Tate was born on Jan. 13, 1937 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Theodore and Vera (Smith) Tatro. He served in the US Army from 1956-1957. He married Thelma Butters on Aug. 23, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Tate was manager of Clinton Wilbert Vaults from 1973 – 2000 and had worked at Dow Chemical Company. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door, Clinton.

Tate is survived by his wife, Thelma of Clinton; four children, Cecilia (Curt) McNabb of Cedar Rapids, Denise Foley of Mankato, MN, Douglas (Mary) Tatro of Rock Island, IL, and James “Jay” (Daniel Venker) Tatro of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
