Cynthia Ann Ryland age 59 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Oct. 27, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 – 5 PM Saturday Nov. 7th at Legends Sports Bar and Grill, Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Cynthia was born on Feb. 7, 1961 in Clinton, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary Kay (Scheibel) Carlsen. She married Michael Ryland on Aug. 30, 1998 in Maryland. She worked at Sears Manufacturing in Davenport for over 17 years and recently she and Mike owned and operated Clinton Lawn and Power in Clinton. Cynthia was a member of the Abate 21 Club and enjoyed playing cards. She especially enjoyed family time around the swimming pool.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Michael Ryland of Clinton; two children, Stephanie (Chris) Melvin of Clinton and Brian Scott of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Mallory, and Addison; two great grandchildren, Kade and Kenna; and two sisters, Kathy Walton and Deb Perryman both of Clinton; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bradley.

None. Cremation rites have been accorded.
