George “G.W.” Foster, age 80 of Clinton, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. No services are being scheduled at this time. In following George’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

George was born in Clinton on November 7, 1939, the son of George Frederick and Emma Lou (Smith) Foster. He graduated from Clinton High School. George served US Army in the 4th Armored Division, stationed in Germany. He was employed with the Clinton Public School System at both Lyons Junior High and Elijah Buell Elementary Schools. He was a longtime member of the Morrison Sportsman Club and NRA. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and trapshooting.

George is survived by a sister, Dixie Lee Foster of Spragueville, IA and 2 brothers, Marshall Evans Foster of Buffalo, MO and Steven Randolf Foster. He was preceded in death by his parents.
