Funeral services for Roy William Hamdorf, 49, Clinton were held Dec. 31 in Zion Lutheran Church, Elvira, with the Rev. Charles W. Hulsether officiating. Burial was in the Massillon cemetery.
Mrs. Herbert Steen was the organist and Robert McCulloh the soloist. Nephews served as pallbearers. They were Brent Hamdorf, Gene Hamdorf, Donald Skinner, Allen Reynolds, Brian Reynolds and Rodney Reynolds.
Mr. Hamdorf died Dec. 28 at Clinton. He was born Feb. 3, 1915 in Massillon, the son of Fred and Anna Tinnefeld Hamdorf. He received his education in the Massillon school and lived with his parents near Massillon, northwest of Toronto and southwest of Lost Nation on farms.
Dec. 9, 1936, he was married to Ernestine Reynolds of Calamus. They farmed west of Clinton before moving into Clinton in 1962. He had recently been employed at the Frontier Motel.
Survivors are his widow, a son, Gary, at home, his parents, 4 brothers, Walter, Lost Nation; Lloyd, Robert and Virgil, Massillon; 2 sisters, Mrs. James (Florence) Skinner, Massillon, and Mrs. Elmer (Arlene) Ruchtozke, Oxford Junction.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry, in 1957.
