Shirley Kay Gomez, 75, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at MercyOne, Clinton. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held outdoors at River Front Park from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, September, 21, 2020. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.

Shirley was born March 20, 1945 in Iowa, the daughter of William and Thelma (Lampe) Van Zuiden.

Shirley was a caregiver in Clinton for many years.

Shirley married Benjamin “Chris” Christian in California; he died September 17, 2004.

Survivors include her children, Kim (Rob) Gomez Kerr-Kellerman; William Gomez; Andrea (Earl) Gomez-Bell; Kristina (David) Gomez-Lincoln and Jacob Gomez all of Clinton; siblings, Richard (Christina) Van Zuiden of Bullhead City, AZ; Gloria (Austin) Shontz of Boise, ID and Dennis Lampe of Clinton; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill Van Zuiden and great-grandson, Carson Willging.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
