Shelley R. Williams, 62, of Clinton passed away, Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics - Iowa City, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Friday, September 11, 2020 at the First Baptist Church - Clinton. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Shelley Rae McConnell was born on March 31, 1958 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Bion and Rae (Jones) McConnell. She was a 1976 graduate of Clinton High School and a graduate of Clinton Community College. She married Dale Williams on July 28, 1980 in Tabernash, Colorado.
Shelley was currently employed at Home Depot. She previously worked for Data Dimensions and International Paper. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling to Colorado to her favorite spots. She also loved spending time with her family and working in her yard and garden.
Shelley is survived by her husband: Dale of Clinton; her daughter: Serena Williams of Clinton, her mother: Rae McConnell of Clinton, her brothers: Russell (Isabel) McConnell of Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, Patrick (Marilee) McConnell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Bradley (Ann) McConnell of Geneseo, Illinois; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Donald & Shirley Williams of Centennial, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Bion.
