FINCH, THORMAHLEN

Mrs. Louise Frederica Thomahlen Finch, wife of Harry G. Finch, 425 Eleventh avenue, passed away at Jane Lamb hospital shortly before 6 o'clock Saturday evening, her death followed an emergency operation. Funeral services in charge of Clinton chapter 65, Order of the Eastern Star were held at the late home at 3 o'clock this afternoon with Rev. H. C. Culver pastor of the First M. E. church assisting. Beautiful vocal selections were sung by the Consistory quartet of DeMolay consistory, A. A. S. R. Masons and the rooms were banked with the floral offerings sent by sorrowing friends as tokens of tribute to the memory of the deceased. The body is to be taken to Boone on the Northwestern railway passenger train No. 3 tomorrow morning at 4:15 and services will be held in the Masonic temple in Boone in charge of Magi chapter No. 39, O. E. S. followed by interment in Linwood cemetery.
The deceased was born in Boone, August 28, 1883 and was educated in the German Lutheran school at Ogden and the public schools in Boone. She was confirmed in the German Lutheran church April 2, 1898. With the exception of one year spent in Ogden, her early life was spent in Boone. She was married to Harry G. Finch, in Havre, Mont., August 11, 1903. Mr. and Mrs. Finch leaving Havre November 20 of that year for Boone, where they resided until February 20, 1905, when they came to Clinton to make their home. She was a member of Clinton chapter, 65 Order of the Eastern Star, and Magi shrine of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and an ardent worker in Division Two of the First Methodist church industrial.
Left to mourn her death are her husband and only daughter, Elaine, her father, Henry Thormahlen of Boone and a host of friends, who admired her as a woman of sterling qualities, who had proved more than a friend to those with whom she came in contact, and as a devoted wife and loving mother. Among those who came to Clinton on account of her death are her father, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Cross and Mrs. R. E. Tillson, all of Boone.
