Juliann “Julie” Davis, age 65 of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 21st at the Eagle Point Park Pavilion. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Julie was born in Clinton on May 17, 1955, the daughter of Clyde and Margaret “Peggy” (Marr) Hix. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1974 and from Clinton Community College in 1977 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Julie married Evan Davis on October 8, 1977 in St. Donatus Church, St. Donatus, Iowa. She had been employed in admissions at Jane Lamb Hospital and later worked the Medical Floor and then as an operating room nurse. After the hospitals combined she was Medical Coder at Mercy Hospital. She was also a Para Educator for the River Bend School District Special Needs Students. She enjoyed and loved her grandchildren, was very active with Clinton County Make-A-Wish, was a driving force behind her St. Mary’s High School class reunions, and enjoyed collecting Harbor Lights lighthouses planting flowers and traveling.

Julie is survived by her husband Evan; 2 sons, Kurt (April) Davis of Geneseo, IL and Scott (Lindsay) Davis of Fulton; 3 grandsons, Gavin, Wesley and Wyatt; her sister, Janine (Joseph) Dwyer of Iowa City; several nieces and nephews including Jim (Andrea) Dwyer and their children, Scarlett, Neeley and Meadow of Cedar Rapids and her special Sister, Carolyn Brauch of Lockport, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to Clinton County Make-A-Wish and sent to the family or to Barb Jacobsen, 1507 Honey Lane, Clinton, Iowa 52732.
