Cynthia Joy "Cindy" Kelly, 70, of Camanche, passed away at home Monday, June 22, 2020, surrounded by her family. A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 4-7:00PM, Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Camanche Chapel. Online condolences may be expressed at snellzornig.com.
Cindy was born December 24, 1949 in Clinton, the daughter of Ray and Betty (Jones) Dellit. Cindy attended Mount St. Clare College and Iowa State University. Cindy married Steve Kelly July 31, 1971 in Clinton.
She had been employed at Mercy Hospital as a data processor, Harvest Savings bank, Iowa State Savings Bank and most recently at Sterling Federal Bank as a loan processor, retiring in 2009.
Cindy enjoyed going on road trips and vacationing in Minnesota with her family. She was an avid bowler in Clinton and Camanche and had been inducted in the Camanche Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a Cubs fan and loved watching and attending Cubs games. She loved to read and spend time tending to her beautiful flowers. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, always showing love and support. She always made time for others, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen of Camanche; daughter, Erin (Brandon) Kooi of Camanche; son, Greg (Nadene) Kelly of Camanche; grandchildren, Maddison (Jimmy) Huling, Logan Kooi, Kennedy Kooi, Mackenzie Kelly, Kaelan Kelly and Archer Kelly all of Camanche; father, Ray Dellit of Clinton; brother, Terry (Pam) Dellit of Clinton; step-brother, Gary Dellit of Fairfield, IA; aunt Vicki Jones of Clinton and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, sister, Rae Ann; step-sisters, Dawn and Dorcas and half-brother, Dennis Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a charity of their choice.
