DEATH CAUSED BY ACCIDENT
W. D. Heatherly, aged 37 years, died at a local hospital shortly after 11 o'clock last night from the effects of an accident which occurred Tuesday at the Clinton Bridge works where he was employed.
Mr. Heatherly was adjusting a guy wire on a derrick. He was standing on a ladder about ten feet from the ground. It is thought probable he was overcome by the heat, and in falling he struck his head against a beam, fracturing the skull.
The sufferer was hurried, unconscious, to the hospital, where his death later ensued.
The deceased had been working at the Bridge Works since last January. Before that he was employed by the Riverside Milling company. He is survived by his wife and five children.
Mr. Heatherly was formerly a resident of West Virginia, and the body is to be sent to his old home in that state.

OBITUARY

The remains will be sent to Elkins, West Virginia this afternoon where burial will be made.
