William G. "Bill" Fritz, age 65 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Mercy One. In following Bill's wishes cremation have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Gateway Baptist Church. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 P.M. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family
Bill was born in Sterling, IL on April 2, 1954, the son of Ralph and Gladys (Waller) Riesselman. He was educated in the Clinton Schools. Bill married Karen Bryd on November 20, 2007 in Clinton. He was employed with the City of Clinton as the caretaker at Eagle Point Park. Bill enjoyed old fashion, late model cars, listening to music, reading the paper and watching WWE.
Bill is survived by his wife Karen; a daughter, Karrie (Brian) McKie of Clinton; 2 step-sons, Joseph and Christopher Teske bot of Clinton; 2 grandchildren, Karli Aviles and Brian McKie both of Clinton; his mother, Gladys Risselman of Clinton; a sister, Patricia (Paul) Stowers of Clinton; a brother, Edward (Brenda) Fritz of Clinton and several nieces and nephews.
