The body of Wheeler Helferich, who passed away Sunday evening at Independence, Iowa, were brought to Maquoketa Monday afternoon and taken to the Buchner funeral parlors, where services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. F.C. Worcester officiated and burial was at Mt. Hope. Mr. Helferich was born 69 years ago on a farm near Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Many years ago he located on a farm near Delmar, of which he was the owner at the time of his death.
He is survived by three brothers, Charles of Olwein, IA, George of Fort Dodge, IA, Frank and one sister, Mrs. Marion Stutting of Maquoketa.
