Mrs. Magdalene Glahn passed away at 12:30 last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. M. Grantz, of Charlotte. The deceased came to this country in the early fifties and in 1855 was united in marriage to Herman Glahn. To this union eight children were born, the eldest passing away in 1898. Her husband preceded her in death eight years ago. The following survive: Mrs. N. M. Grantz of Charlotte; Mrs. C. S. Wohlenburg of Lyons; Mrs. C. Schumacker of Spokane, Wash.; and four sons, John and Henry of Maquoketa, Herman on the old homestead and George in Center township; also 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed awaiting word from relatives.

Funeral services for the late Magdalena Glahn will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the N.M. Grantz home at Charlotte, followed by services at 2 o'clock at the Lutheran church at Charlotte. Rev. Jobst will officiate and burial will be made in the Glahn cemetery.
