Savanna, Ill., Jan. 31 - Grant Lawrence, aged 59 years, died Sunday evening at 10 o'clock at the city hospital. He was found unconscious in bed Saturday morning and removed to the hospital, never recovering consciousness.

The deceased was 59 years of age. He was married 10 years ago to Mrs. Gussie Howard. For many years he was employed as an engineer by C. M. & St. P railroad and for the past several years was in charge of the switch engine in the local yards.

Mrs. Lawrence has been called home from California and funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian church with Rev. Barclay in charge.
