Mrs. Peter J. Owens of 3020 Roosevelt street passed away at 8:45 o'clock this morning after an illness of four months duration.
Mary A. Laughlin was born in Bryant March 4, 1858. She was married to Peter J. Owens April 12, 1880. Ten children were born, four of whom died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Clara McMahon dying in 1919.
Surviving are her husband and five children, John and Leo Owens of Lyons, Mrs. Martin Cunningham and Mrs. Charles Lord of Lyons and Mrs. Raymond M. McDevitt of Goose Lake. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth kain of St. Paul, Mrs. Catherine Condon of Des Moines and Mrs. Alice Judge of Lyons. She also leaves 17 grandchildren.
Deceased was a member of St. Irenaeus church and a faithful member of the Altar society of that church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday morning, with requiem mass at St. Irenaeus church at 9 o'clock.
