Wheatland, Iowa, Oct. 15 -- Mrs. Elizabeth Riedesel passed away at 9:20 o'clock Thursday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Ott, in this city, after a lingering illness.
Elizabeth Gerhardt was born in Galion, Ohio, October 9, 1841. In February, 1860, she was united in marriage to George Riedesel, who preceded her in death thirty years.
Mr. and Mrs. Riedesel came to Wheatland about 55 years ago and the deceased has made her home here since that time. She was the mother of eight children, two of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary Cramer, Mrs. Anna Bickman, Mrs. Lisette Ott and Mrs. Louise Ott, all of Wheatland; two sons, Theophil of Wheatland and Albert of Clinton, 17 grand children and 28 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from St. Paul's Reformed church, of which Mrs. Riedesel was a charter member. Rev. William Bollman will officiate and interment will be at St. Paul's cemetery.
