Clinton Advertiser June 18, 1920
N. H. Nissen a well known and esteemed resident of Clinton, passed away at 3 o'clock this morning at his home, 130 north Sixth street, following an illness of two years' duration, due to a complication of diseases.
Funeral services will be held at the family home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, and at the Danish Lutheran church at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. F. Gotke, pastor of that church will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery.
Nis H. Nissen was born in Varde, Denmark, on March 9, 1868. He came to the United States in 1888, and for many years he was employed as shipping clerk at the Anderson & Winter plant. Surviving him are his wife, two sons Axel and Carl, a daughter Helga, two step-sons, Fred and John Valentine all of this city; a brother Soren Nissen, of Palo Alto, California, and a sister in Denmark.
Mr. Nissen was a member of the Danish society, the Danish Brotherhood, and Robin Hood camp, M. W. A.

The Nis H. Nissen funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family home at 130 North Sixth street, followed by services at the Danish Lutheran church at 2:30 with Rev. Gotke officiating, and interment is to be made in Springdale cemetery.

The funeral of the late Nis H. Nissen was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the home, 130 North Sixth street, followed by services at 2:30 at the Danish Lutheran church, with Rev. Gottke officiating. Interment was made in Springdale cemetery.
