Funeral services for Henry Esbaum, 60, were held Aug. 17 at the First Presbyterian church in Wheatland with the Rev. Joseph Newgard of Dixon in charge. Burial was in Inland cemetery.

Deane Boom was the vocalist with Mrs. Don Christensen at the organ.

Pallbearers were John Busch, Lawrence Reinking, Wayne Billings, Jack Henderson, Edward Koch, and Harry Petersen. In charge of flowers were Mrs. John Busch and Mrs. Lawrence Reinking.

Mr. Esbaum died suddenly Aug. 14, 1962, about 11:30 of a heart attack.

Mr. Esbaum was born in Germany April 22, 1902, the son of Fred and Sophie Aumen Esbaum, and came to the Wheatland vicinity with his parents at the age of 10.

He married Selma Wenndt of Lowden Jan. 17, 1928, and they engaged in farming in this area until retiring to Wheatland a number of years ago, and the past several years has owned and operated a tiling firm.

Mr. Esbaum was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Wheatland, where he was a deacon.

Survivors include his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. George (Alice) Rekemeyer, Bennett and Mrs. Edward (Donna) Harrell, Rossville, Ga.; 3 grandchildren, one brother, William, Wheatland, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ernest LaFrentz, Rudd; Mrs. Walter Pauls, Lowden and Mrs. Cletus Moore, Davenport.
