Mrs. Lula May Shew, nee House, of 1026 South Sixth street, died at 12 o'clock Sunday noon at Agatha hospital, following an operation which was performed Saturday.

The deceased was born near Manchester, Iowa, June 1st, 1877, and lived there practically all her life. She was united in marriage to Fred Shew July 16th, 1894, in Manchester. About four years ago they moved to Morrison, Ill., where they lived a year and then moved to Lyons, where they have resided ever since.

Left to mourn her death is her husband and seven children, Mrs. Edna Leibert, of Clinton, Floyd, Davis, Marguerite, Percy, Willis and Ellen at home. She is also survived by one grandchild, four brothers, Fay and William Houser of Beloit, Wis., and Price and Max Houser of Clinton and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Durns of Clinton.

The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from the Estabrook undertaking parlors in Clinton. Services will be in charge of Frank T. Horth of the I.B.S.A. The remains will be taken to Erie, Ill., and interment will be made in Springdale cemetery in that city.

The funeral services of the late Mrs. Fred Shew were held this morning at 9 o'clock from the Estabrook Undertaking parlors in Clinton. Services were conducted by Frank T. Horth of the I.B.S.A. The remains were taken to Erie, Ill., and interment made in Springdale cemetery at that place.
