Mrs. Louise Schwartz, aged 86 years 2 months and 7 days, died at 5 o'clock last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. H. Wulf, 510 North Fourth street, after an illness of long duration. The news of her death will be received with regret by many of her old friends, as she was a woman of grand character, loved by all who knew her.

Deceased was born January 17th, 1829, in Pommerania Germany. In 1856 with her husband and two children she came to this country locating in Center township, Clinton county. Two more children were born here, one dying in infancy. In 1887 her husband passed away and after that she lived for two years with her son, Robert Schwartz, on a farm west of Lyons. After that time she made her home with her children and for the past twenty-one years has lived with her daughter, Mrs. C. H. Wulf, on North Fourth street, who has tenderly cared for her mother during her long illness, for she has been blind for the past five years. She was a true Christian woman, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. C. H. Wulf, two sons, F. W. Schwartz of this city and Robert Schwartz of west of Lyons, ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning with private services at the home at 9:30, and the funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran church at 10 o'clock. Rev. Hugo Grimm will officiate. Interment will be made in the Ingwersen cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Louise Schwartz will be held tomorrow morning from the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. H. Wulf, on North Fifth street, with private services at the home and the funeral services at 10 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church, Rev. Hugo Grimm officiating. Interment will be made in the Ingwersen cemetery.
