Richard F. Dwyer, 87, of Calamus, passed away July 3, 2017, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin with his family at his bedside.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, July 9, at St. Phillip & James Catholic Church, Grand Mound. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.

A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 10, at St. Phillip & James Catholic Church in Grand Mound, Iowa. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery, Toronto, Iowa.

Richard Francis Dwyer was born April 6, 1930, in Harvey, Illinois, the son of John Michael and Theresa (Hann) Dwyer Sr. He received his B.A. Degree from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. He married Ann C. Kelly on July 2, 1955, in Williston, North Dakota. He was employed as a Production Control Manager for JI Case in Bettendorf, Iowa, and McLaughlin Body in East Moline, Illinois. He was a member of St. Phillip & James Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies include golfing, fishing, boating, woodworking, and spending time at his cabin in Wisconsin with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Ann of Calamus; six daughters, Nancy Walters, and Tressa (Dan Herberg) Moellenbeck, both of Calamus, Colleen (Gene) McCarty of Justin, TX, Michelle (Kent) Wiebel, and Charlotte (Dean) Brabant, both of Eldridge, and Ellen (Will) Azinger of Hampton; one son, Bob (Holly) Dwyer of Calamus; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sons, two brothers, John Dwyer Jr., and Gerald Dwyer, one son-in-law, Curt Walters, and one grandson, Jason McCarty.
