Word was received in DeWitt yesterday announcing the death of Mrs. Harry Kindig, which occurred Monday morning in a Cedar Rapids hospital. She had been suffering from anemia and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Deceased was a daughter of Mrs. J. M. Jordan of this place and made her home in DeWitt until the last four or five years she with her husband has resided in Collins, Iowa.

Mrs. Kindig was about 25 years of age and graduated from the local high school a few years ago and taught for a number of years in the rural school of this community.

A husband, one son, Duane, a mother, and several sisters and two brothers, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Schlotfeldt, Mr. and Mrs. A. Chapman of DeWitt, Mr. and Mrs. J. Reeder of Batavia, Ill., and Miss Florence Jordan of Cedar Falls, and Louis and John of Dakota, survive.

The remains will arrive in DeWitt for burial on Wednesday, and the funeral will probably be held some time Thursday.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Harry Kindig will be held tomorrow afternoon with services at 2:30 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. R. B. Schlotfeldt. Interment will be made in Elmwood cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Harry Kindig was held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schlotfeldt, conducted by Rev. J. J. Kidder of the M.E. church. Appropriate music was furnished by Mrs. William Saltmarsh, accompanied by Miss Helen Large. Interment was made in Elmwood cemetery. Friends of the deceased who acted as bearers of the pall were Dr. Mel Waggoner, Bert Morrison, William Gostic, William Weston, Charles Pierce and Lionel Connole.

Deceased was born on a farm near Grand Mound and with her parents, came to DeWitt a few years ago. She attended school here and graduated from the local school in the year 1908. A few years later she was married to Harry Kindig, who with one son, Duane, aged three and one-half years, a large circle of other relatives and many friends, survive. Those from a distance present at the funeral were W. D. Kindig and daughters, Nina and Mrs. Eva Shearer, of Collins, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Reeder, Batavia, Ill., Mrs. Neal and Mrs. Edith Kane, Bagley, Iowa, Miss Florence Jordan, Cedar Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Chapman, Grand Mound and D. O. Kindig, of Kingsley, Iowa.
