Michael L. Cain, age 66 of Clinton, passed away Monday April 1, 2019 at his home. According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will take place at the Amvets Club from 2:30 to 6:30 PM Saturday, April 6, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to come. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mike was born in Clinton on July 21, 1952, the son of Michael Joseph and Phyllis (Schoel) Cain. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1971. Mike married Diane Dawson in the summer of 1976. He later married Susan Ugarph on October 18, 2013 in Clinton. Mike worked as a carpenter for various contractors. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting, and riding his motorcycle in his younger days. Mike golfed daily over the past several years. He loved his dogs, Bo and Buddy and spent many hours with them at the dog park.
Mike is survived by his wife, Susan; two children, Mike Cain of Valley, NB and Eric Ugarph of Des Moines, WA; two sisters, Julie Cain Hill of Kodiak, Alaska and Gail (Joe) Hlubek of Clinton; a brother, Dave (Sue) Cain of Clinton, many nieces and nephews, his uncle and aunt, Dave and Carol Schoel of Clinton and many cousins.. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
