Kent A. "Burls" Burlingame age 72 of Camanche, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 4th at Legend's Sports Bar in Clinton. Burial will be held at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Kent was born on August 29, 1947 in Clinton, the son of Marvin and Eleanor (Schultz) Burlingame. He graduated from Clinton High School. Kent served with the US Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He married Lucinda Evans in Clinton in 1977. Kent was an agent for Prudential Life Insurance Company and also worked at ADM. He loved to tell stories of his children and grandchildren. Kent was a fan of the Chicago Bears and he enjoyed bowling, gardening, a cold Budweiser and tequila on the rocks.
Kent is survived by his three children, Tyler Burlingame and Karley (Chad) Pendley both of Clinton, and Pacia (Brandon) Smith of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Sydney Burlingame, Brooklyn Grams and Aspen Pendley and a brother Richard (Jacqueline) Burlingame of Lake of the Ozark, MO.
