KILLED AT LOWDEN--Jack Shay, C. & N. W. conductor on one of the East bound freights about 11 o'clock Sunday night last, met with his death by being run over at Lowden. While hanging to the steps on the side of a freight car, he became faint, falling beneath the wheels, cutting off the left arm and left leg, and crushing in the chest. Death was almost instantaneous. Mr. Shay had but recently been given this position. He was well like along the line, and was considered a valuable employ.
