Arnold E. Wiebers, Jr., 95, of Camanche passed away Monday, February 4, 2020 at the Alverno - Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Susie Lange, Marsha Laurion, Brenda Waldorf, Lori Bonnell, Judy Determann and Debbie Smith. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home - Camanche. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Arnold Eugene Wiebers, Jr. was born February 21, 1924 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Arnold I. and Dorothy H. (Watkins) Wiebers. He attended Camanche High School. He served in the United States Army Air Corps and married Clara (Eads) on January 10, 1948 in Clinton.
Arnold worked for ALCOA as a Foil Mill Operator for over 26 years; he retired in 1983. He was a member of the Camanche VFW, Camanche Legion, Zion Lutheran Church and later Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche.
He is survived by his loving wife Clara of Camanche; two children: Marlene Manning of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Allen Wiebers of Clinton, Iowa; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister: Joyce Hart of Camanche; and his beloved dog Candy.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Memorial may be made to the Camanche Fire Department.
