The death of Soren Hansen, aged 86 years, occurred Tuesday afternoon at 4:40 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Simon Hansen, 1005 South Eighth street.

The deceased was born May 10, 1831 in Kolding, Denmark. He came to America in 1887 settling in Clinton where he had made his home since.

His wife preceded him seven years ago.

Surviving to mourn his death are six children, Charles Hansen, Cedar Rapids, Ia.; Mrs. John Johnson, Alomont, Ia., Mrs. Simon Hansen of this city, two daughters and one son in the old country; also grandchildren in Denmark.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock from the late home. The Rev. P. F. Gotke of the Danish Brotherhood will officiate and burial will be made in Springfield cemetery.
