The death of Mrs. Bridget Cannan occurred this morning at 6 o'clock at Mercy hospital, following an operation. She had been ailing for the past four years.

Deceased was born in Ireland, Nov. 12, 1851, coming to America in the year 1871 and settling in Clinton, Ia. Her husband preceded her seventeen years ago.

Surviving to mourn her loss are four daughters, Mrs. Emil Ludtke, Mrs. Albert Thiede, Mrs. Charles Maus of Clinton; Mrs. Robert Shiel, Chicago; two sons, John Cannan of Clinton and Jmes Cannan of Rock Island; and four grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Peter Cannan, whose death was announced in these columns yesterday, will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning with requiem mass at St. Mary's church and interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
