Mrs. Mary Hausman, an old resident of the city, passed away at 11 o'clock this morning at Mercy hospital where she had been receiving treatment for blood poisoning.

Mrs. Hausman was well known and highly respected in Clinton. For many years she conducted a boarding house on Seventh avenue.

Her sister, who lives at Strawberry Point, was wired of her death, and is expected in Clinton tomorrow. The funeral arrangements were not announced this afternoon.

A sister of the late Mrs. Mary Hausman who died yesterday morning arrived this morning from Strawberry Point, Ia., to take the body to that place this evening.

Mrs. Mary Hausman was born Feb. 28, 1853, in Lake county, Ill. In 1895 the deceased was married to Henry Hausman. Mrs. Hausman had been a resident of Clinton for the last 21 years, and was a member of Ben Hur lodge. Left to mourn her death are two brothers, Eugene Easton of Crabtree, Oregon; Larston Easton of Strawberry Point, and four sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Dorman, of Edgewood, Ia., Mrs. Euphemia Shephard of Herchfield, N.D., Mrs. Susan Church, of Rockford, Ia., and Mrs. Emma Wing of Strawberry Point. Mrs. Hausman had no children.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Strawberry Point.
