The remains of Robert Hugunin, the Camanche fisherman who disappeared from home late in April, were found in the Mississippi river three miles south of Princeton, on the Iowa side, early this morning.

The body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition, was discovered floating down the stream by Ed Bissick, a fisherman of LeClaire, and was towed to land. Friends of the late fisherman identified the body, the principal mark of identification having been the clothing and hip boots the body wore.

The remains were taken to the Maginnis undertaking establishment in LeClaire, and prepared for burial. An autopsy was being held today and the inquest will be held tonight, in charge of Coroner Campbel of Scott county.

There is some mystery connected with the disappearance of the Camanche fisherman. He disappeared one Sunday afternoon, after visiting a camp of fisherman on the Illinois side, below Albany. One of these men, evidently, the last who had seen Hugunin, and who told conflicting stories concerning his disappearance was arrested here and held for a time in the Rock Island jail. The body did not turn up, however, and the man was released.

The deceased was a long-time resident of Camanche, and had followed the occupation of a fisherman for many years. He was a brother of Thomas Hugunin, also a Camanche fisherman.
