The "Pilot Rock Record," Pilot Rock, Ore., has the following on the death of Clarence Badger, formerly of Clinton: Clarence Badger, brother of Mrs. Morgan Edwards, of this city, died at the Eastern Oregon Hospital last Monday evening of general paralysis. The body was brought to Pilot Rock for burial, the funeral being held at two o'clock on Monday afternoon. Rev. Davis conducting the ceremonies. Deceased was born at Clinton, Iowa, and was nearly 39 years of age at the time of his death. At an early age he ran away from home, going to Seattle, where he afterwards enlisted as an ambulance driver and saw service in the Spanish-American war in the Phillipine Islands. He came to Pilot Rock about twelve years ago and has remained in this vicinity ever since. For the past several years he made his home with the Morgan Edwards family and for several months had been almost totally disabled with paralysis. He went to the hospital three weeks ago. He is survived by three sisters and two brothers, namely Edward Badger of Chicago, Marion Badger of Folletts, Iowa, Mrs. Frank Haas of Dubuque, Iowa, Mrs. T. T. Edwards of Pendleton, and Mrs. M. G. Edwards of Pilot Rock."
