Mrs. John Sweeney, an old resident of Camanche, died Wednesday evening at the home of A. L. Arp in that town. She was taken ill last Tuesday when she suffered a nervous breakdown and a slight stroke.

Deceased was ?0 years of age and had lived in Camanche since she was 16 years of age. She is survived by her husband and three daughters Mrs. Herbert L. Sedgwick of Ottumwa, Mrs. George A. Platts of Arkansas City, and Mrs. Fred Anthony, of Ames. Also one brother, Joseph McCloskey of Folletts.

Mrs. Sweeney was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal congregation of Camanche.

The funeral of the late Mrs. John Sweeney will be held from her home in Camanche at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, instead of Saturday morning as announced.
