Jesse M. Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mitchell, was born July 21st, 1866, in Fulton, Ill., where he spent most of his life. In 1887 he married Miss Ida M. Aikens of this city. To them 6 children were born, one girl, May, who passed away in September, 1913, and five boys, Eddie, Howard, Norman, Wilford and Millard who survive with their mother, his father, two brothers Harvey of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Albert of Chicago, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Joe Bass of Mason City, Ia., and Mrs. Elisha Epps of Los Angeles, Cal. He was one of Fulton's leading business men. He conducted a barber shop for many years.
