page 6Word was received here Sunday to the effect that J. A. Nattinger of this city, died Saturday afternoon at 4:15 after a week's illness with pneumonia. Mr. Nattinger had been ill about three weeks was not serious until last Monday, April 16 when his illness developed into pneumonia and he succumbed on Saturday.
The deceased was for many years, in the dry goods business in this city and left here last July for Port Angeles, Wash., where his two sons, W. K. and J. B. Nattinger are in business. Since that time he has been making his home with them. He had been a resident of this city for over 40 years and besides being in the dry goods business here was secretary of the Lyons and Fulton Bridge company, taking active charge of the work until the time he left here for a visit with his sons.
He is survived by his wife, who was with him, also his two sons, mentioned above, and a daughter, Mrs. P. G. Kinzer of Seattle, Washington. The remains will be laid away in a vault at Port Angeles for the time being and will be brought to this city for permanent burial during the coming summer.
Mr. Nattinger's many friends here were shocked to learn of his sudden death as his illness was unknown to people in this city. The message received here was very brief and further word is expected at any time.
