Mrs. Maria Louisa Bicknese, 73, of Wheatland died at the home of her son, Henry, Sunday, following a lingering illness. She was born April 15, 1855 in Germany. Her marriage to Henry Bicknese occurred in 1878, and in 1893 they came to America and settled near Wheatland. In 1916 the death of Mr. Bicknese occurred, and three years later the widow moved to Wheatland. Seven sons and three daughters were born to them. The funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 1:30 at the house and at 2 o'clock at the St. Paul's Reformed church. Burial was made in the St. Paul's cemetery.

Mrs. Bicknese is the mother of Wm. Bicknese of northeast of Lowden.
