Mrs. Maria Klahn, 87, died Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Reinking, three miles east of here, after a lingering illness.

She was born in Germany on Oct. 31, 1945, and came to America at the age of nine years. Practically her entire life was spent in the vicinity of Wheatland. In 1868 she was married to Ludwig Klahn who died in 1892. For several years she lived in Wheatland after the death of her husband, but for the past year has made her home with her children.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Emer Mowry of Lowden, Mrs. Wm. Steel and Mrs. Fred Reinking of Wheatland, Alfred of Wheatland and Leo of Toronto.

Funeral services will be held in the Reinking home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with burial in the Pine Hill cemetery.

The funeral service of Mrs. Marie Klahn, will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reinking, about three miles east of Lowden, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Fred J. Abele officiating.
