Mrs. Maren Anker, mother of Mrs. Emmanuel Petersen, died at the home of her daughter, 332 Hickory street, at 9 o'clock Tuesday evening after an illness of more than eight weeks, due to the infirmities of old age.
Mrs. Anker had been with her daughter 18 years. She came to this country and to Clinton 35 years ago. Her husband preceded her in death many years ago.
Besides Mrs. Petersen there are three other daughters, Mrs. Banstone of DeKalb, who has been helping to take care of her mother several weeks, Mrs. Sadie May of Waterloo, and Mrs. John Juhl of Williams, Ariz. Mrs. May is expected tonight. No word has yet been received from Mrs. Juhl.
The funeral will probably be held Friday afternoon, unless a message comes that Mrs. Juhl will come for the services, in which event the announcement of the time will be made later. The Rev. Gotke will have charge.
Mrs. Anker was an old and highly respected member of the Danish Sisterhood.
