page 6Dorothy Mallory, 10-year-old daughter of Mrs. Nellie Mallory, formerly Miss Nellie Talman of Camanche, died Monday night at the home of her mother in Emporia, Kan., as the result of peritonitis, according to a telegram received in Clinton by the little girl's uncle, John Mallory, of Pearl street, this morning.
The little girl's father died eight years ago. She leaves besides her mother, two brothers and a sister. They are Benjamin, Toledo, O.; Lyman, New Mexico, and Elsie, at home. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Mallory has many friends in Clinton, where she visited frequently years ago.
