Mrs. Alvis Rose, residing on a farm in Hampshire township, died Sunday morning at 6 o'clock after an illness with scarlet fever. Mrs. Rose, nee Banowetz, was born near Browns Station, Ia., Sept. 23, 1894, and has lived in this county since then. Her death Sunday came as a great shock to her relatives and many friends in this city.

She is survived by her parents and several brothers and sisters; also her husband and two children. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday and burial will be made in St. Boniface cemetery.
