page 7Low Moor, Ia., March 9--Miss Elizabeth Crampton was born in Caister, England, Sept. 3, 1833, and died at her home in Low Moore, Ia., March 3, 1917, aged 83 years and 6 months. She was the daughter of William and Mary Crampton, with whom she came to Clinton in 1852, locating near Low Moor.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Henry Pearson, Nov. 16, 1853. To this union were born ten children. Two sons, Robert and William, William died some years ago; also eight daughters, Mrs. Jennie Buckley, Mrs. Joseph Schockey, Mrs. Harry Smith, Mrs. John Scullen, Mrs. Thomas Herrity, Mrs. Charles Crampton, Mrs. Walter Newmarch and Mrs. Elmer Crampton. She leaves one sister, Mrs. John Clement, of Malone, and two brothers, Benjamin Crampton, of Vail, and William Crampton of Low Moor. She also leaves twenty-nine grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. Her husband, Henry Pearson, died Nov. 11, 1891. She was again married to Mr. George Healless, Jan. 13, 1896. Mr. Healless died five years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. P. N. Dwello. The interment was at Camanche cemetery.
