Mrs. Daniel Rust, mother of Mrs. T. M. Osborne and Mrs. H. C. Roberts of this city, died suddenly Thursday night at the home of her son, L. B. Rust in Rock Island, where she had gone for a visit two weeks ago, after spending the last two months with her daughters here.

The body will be taken to her home in Belle Plaine for burial.

Mrs. Rust was 87 years old, and died as the result of a stroke of apoplexy. She was born in Chicago February 28, 1830, and had been a resident of Belle Plaine more than 50 years. Mr. Rust died two years ago this month.

Four sons and four daughters are left. Besides her daughters in Clinton and L. B. in Rock Island, there are W. A., L. M., and A. L. of Belle Plaine; Mrs. S. P. Van Dyke of Long Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. J. A. Wheeler of Belle Plaine.
