Mrs. Catherina Jacobs Petersen, widow of Peter J. Petersen, passed away at the family home, 334 Third avenue, at 6 o'clock this morning.
The deceased was born on November 10, 1836, and was aged at the time of her death 80 years, 3 months and 20 days. She was the mother of eleven children, of whom eight are living: These are Sanke P. of Minneapolis, Cornelius S. of Clinton, Julius H. of Manilla, Ia.; Christian, at home; Theodore H. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Mrs. S. B. Wilbur of Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. H. C. Hiensen of this city, and Arnold E. Petersen, of Manilla. Those who have passed away are P. J. Jr., Johannes F. and Helena S. Petersen.
The deceased had been ill since the first of January, suffering from the infirmities of old age.
The funeral services will be held at the German Lutheran Zion church at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Catherina Petersen was held at the German Zion Lutheran church, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock in charge of the Rev. A. H. Lutz, pastor. The pallbearers were N. J. Matthiesen, Olaf Woegens, Phil Holm, August Burtzloff, Theodore Carstensen and Oscar Jensen.
Those who attended the service from out of the city included the children of Mrs. Petersen. They are: Sanke P. Petersen, Minneapolis; Julius and Arnold Petersen of Manilla, Ia.; Mrs. S. B. Wilbur, Oak Park, Ill.
