Funeral services for Julius Pieper were held at St. John's Lutheran church yesterday afternoon. After a short funeral service at the home, 525 Elm street, the remains were taken to St. John's Lutheran church, where Rev. Hugo Grimm officiated in the German and English languages. The ladies choir rendered three appropriate selections. Interment was made in Springdale cemetery. The pallbearers were A. L. Martensen, Peter Clausen, Carl Schmacher, August Jeschke, Leopold Knop and W. C. Katz. Professor August Pieper of the Lutheran seminary near Milwaukee, a brother of the deceased, attended the funeral.
