Marx Rohwedder, an old settler of Clinton county passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl Witt, 721 4th avenue at 12:30 Wednesday noon.

Funeral will be held Friday at 2 o'clock from the home of Carl Witt.

The funeral of the late Marx Rohwedder will be held Friday afternoon from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl Witt, 724 Fourth avenue, with services by the Rev. A. H. Lutz, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.

Mr. Rohwedder was born November 29, 1837 in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany, and was 79 years old, at the time of his death. He was baptized and confirmed in Germany and was united in marriage there to Wiebke Krebs in 1861. He came to America in 1873, locating in Lyons. After living there eight years he moved to Charlotte, where he lived for twenty-five years.

Three years later Mr. Rohwedder retired, going to Preston, Ia., where six years later Mrs. Rohwedder passed away. Since that time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Carl Witt, of this city.
